Finished in Red with a Black soft top and cloth interior, this NA-generation roadster has been with The Vendor for the past three years and has spent the last six months laid up on the drive. Evident corrosion is visible around the body, and some mechanical recommissioning may also be required before returning to the road.

The Model:

Launched in 1989 and produced until 1997, the first-generation MX-5 revitalised the lightweight roadster market. Inspired heavily by the Lotus Elan, the naturally aspirated model is famed for its balanced handling, mechanical simplicity and iconic pop-up headlights. Early cars were powered by a 1.6-litre engine producing 116 bhp, with the 1.8-litre version introduced in late 1993 which this example uses.
