Owned by The Vendor for the last five years, this charming six-cylinder classic has been his sole daily driver for the past 3.5 years, a testament to both its reliability and the care it has clearly received. With just three former keepers, an MOT valid until June 2026 and presenting in excellent condition inside and out, it’s a wonderfully well-sorted example of a Vitesse.

Maintenance & Condition:

Extensive work has been carried out during The Vendor’s ownership to ensure dependable usability, including an alternator conversion, new windscreen seal, new rear brake cylinders and master cylinder, new heater matrix, new water pump and housing, an oil filter spin-off conversion with relocated breather, new polyurethane front suspension bushes, rocker cover, K&N filters, new carpet set with underfelt, insulation and sound deadening, new front seatbelts, new gearbox tunnel, new electronic distributor and new door hinges and pins. History:

The Model:

Launched in May 1962, the Triumph Vitesse revived a pre-war model name and brought six-cylinder performance to the compact Triumph range. Styled by the renowned Giovanni Michelotti and based on the Herald platform, the Vitesse 6 featured a distinctive quad-headlamp front end and a notably more luxurious interior. Powered by a 1,596cc straight-six derived from the Standard Vanguard unit, it delivered impressive performance, excellent fuel economy and a famously tight turning circle. The Vitesse 6 became the best-selling variant of the model line and remains admired today for its characterful performance and usability.
