Auctioneer's Notes:

A charming example of the 1963 Singer Vogue Saloon, presented in tidy condition and offered with a pleasing selection of supporting paperwork. The Vendor reports the car to be in good order and running well, making this an appealing entry into classic Rootes Group motoring with a more refined and upmarket feel than its Hillman Super Minx relation.

Maintenance & Condition:

This Vogue has benefited from a number of recent maintenance items, including replacement front discs and pads, track rods, regulator and fuse box. The front and rear parcel shelves have also been repaired, further contributing to the car’s tidy overall presentation. Service invoices on file evidence a clutch repair in 2025, master cylinder replacement in 2022, and other miscellaneous works carried out over recent years. The Vendor reports that the car runs well and is in good order.

History:

Accompanying the car is an original Singer Vogue workshop manual and original owner’s handbook, both desirable items for the model. The paperwork file also includes service invoices and a copy of a notebook which appears to detail work carried out by the owner between July 2025 and May 2026, adding a personal and useful record of recent attention.

The Model:

The Singer Vogue Saloon was introduced as a more luxurious Rootes Group offering, closely related to the Hillman Super Minx but distinguished by its more refined specification and styling. The 1963 Series II model featured the 1,592cc four-cylinder engine, with the model line also gaining useful updates such as front disc brakes. Inside, the Vogue was positioned as a more upmarket family saloon, with touches such as wood veneer trim, carpeting, improved comfort and a generally more refined cabin than many of its contemporaries. Its twin-headlamp front end and restrained styling give it a particularly handsome period appearance.

Sale Insight:

With tidy presentation, useful recent maintenance and a good selection of original literature, this 1963 Singer Vogue represents as an attractive option.
