  • Finished in Cream and Red over a cloth interior
  • Owned by The Vendor for the last 4 years
  • Accompanied by a wealth of spares and a pair of workshop manuals

On the Surface:

An original-feel example of Citroën’s enduring 2CV6, this 1983 model is finished in a combination of Cream and Red over a cloth interior. A UK-supplied, right-hand-drive car, it has been in the hands of The Vendor for the past four years and presents as a honest and usable classic.

Maintenance & History:

Originally registered in the UK, this 2CV6 spent a decade in France between 2011 and 2021, where the previous keeper used it at their second home. The car was brought back to the UK during the pandemic and re-registered on its original English plates, before being purchased by The Vendor.  Accompanying the car is a collection of useful spares, together with a Haynes workshop manual and the original Citroën maintenance handbook.

The Model:

The Citroën 2CV (short for deux chevaux, meaning “two horses” – a reference to its modest 2 taxable horsepower) is one of the most recognisable and beloved small cars ever built. Produced from 1948 to 1990, it was designed to provide simple, reliable motoring for rural France. The 2CV6 variant introduced more power and refinement while retaining the model’s trademark comfort, lightness and character. Its air-cooled, front-mounted engine and soft, long-travel suspension make it a comfy drive.

Sale Insight:

This 1983 Citroën 2CV6 offers an inviting opportunity to experience one of motoring’s most characterful classics. Equally suited to light recommissioning or weekend enjoyment.
