A very tidy and well-presented example of the ever-popular Series III Morris Minor 1000. Finished in Dark Green over contrasting Red upholstery, this charming 1965 example has been in the care of the current registered keeper for the past 14 years and presents in wonderful condition throughout.
In 2012, the car underwent a comprehensive restoration by the renowned Morris Minor specialists Charles Ware of Bristol, with approximately £8,000 spent bringing the car up to a high standard. The result is a Minor that remains in excellent order today and is ready to be enjoyed without the need for immediate expenditure.
The history file is particularly pleasing and includes a wealth of invoices—most notably those relating to the Charles Ware restoration—along with MOT certificates and assorted ownership documentation.
The Morris Minor is one of Britain’s most significant post-war cars, produced by Morris Motors between 1948 and 1971 and designed under the leadership of Alec Issigonis. More than 1.6 million examples were built. Introduced in 1956, the Series III brought a major programme of updates, culminating in the Minor 1000, named for its 948cc BMC A-Series engine. Rationalised components improved production efficiency while maintaining the Minor’s reputation for simplicity, economy and charm during a period when car ownership was becoming increasingly widespread.
A beautifully restored and well-cared-for Morris Minor 1000 with long-term ownership and a specialist restoration. An ideal opportunity for enthusiasts seeking a practical classic to enjoy on the road.
