On the Surface:

This 1994 Rover Mini 35 is a tidy example that’s been altered and refreshed frim it's origianal look. Finished in Red over a Grey cloth interior, it departs from the factory Mini 35 palette, having been resprayed during a comprehensive rebuild in 2021/22. The car sits on refurbished Mini Lite-style wheels with new Michelin period tyres and features a smart walnut dash and Mayfair interior upgrades.

Maintenance & History:

Owned by The Vendor for the past four years, this Mini has been well cared for and replensihed in recent years. While originally delivered as a limited edition Mini 35, this example has been resprayed in a non-standard Red and appears to have had its original decals removed at some point. Despite these changes, it remains a clean and well-presented example. Recent work includes a total rebuild completed in 2021/22. The car benefits from a new rear subframe and HiLo adjustable suspension all round, greatly enhancing its ride quality and handling. A Metro carburettor has been fitted for improved performance. The speedometer has been changed (with the original binnacle included).

The Model:

Launched in May 1994, the Mini 35 celebrated 35 years of continuous Mini production. Based on the Mini Sprite, the original cars featured distinctive styling elements including 'Jamboree' seat facings, a three-spoke steering wheel and Cooper-inspired chrome trim. Limited edition decals and unique colour schemes—White Diamond, Nevada Red, and Arizona Blue—marked the Mini 35 out from standard models. Powered by a 1,275cc carburetted engine with optional features like alloy wheels and electric sunroof, it was a fun and accessible special edition aimed at Mini enthusiasts across the UK, Europe, and Japan.

Sale Insight:

Though no longer in its original factory colours or livery, this Mini 35 has been extensively rebuilt and thoughtfully upgraded, making it an appealing choice for someone seeking a classic Mini with both character and usability.
