This particular car benefits from long family ownership, having been owned by The Vendor’s late father for 28 years before being transferred into The Vendor’s name last year. Just one former keeper outside of the family and a genuine 90,713 miles from new.

Maintenance & Condition:

The vehicle is accompanied by a helpful history file containing a collection of invoices along with numerous old MOT certificates, providing useful insight into the maintenance carried out over the years. The original Jaguar bookpack is also present, which includes the XJS Handbook, Sales and Service booklet, Sound System Guide and the Service Record. The Model:

The Jaguar XJ-S (later known simply as the XJS) was introduced in 1975 as Jaguar’s flagship grand tourer and remained in production until 1996. In 1983 Jaguar introduced the new 3.6-litre AJ6 straight-six engine, offering a refined and efficient alternative to the V12 while maintaining strong performance and grand touring ability. Initially paired with a five-speed manual gearbox, a four-speed automatic transmission was introduced from 1987 onwards, as featured in this example. Six-cylinder cars can be identified by the distinctive raised centre section of the bonnet.
